Five Great Reasons to be a Delt
Leadership Skills for Life
They say leaders are born, but Delta Tau Delta believes invaluable leadership skills can be imparted. DTD offers a variety of programs specifically designed to do just that.
Fraternity members learn how to work together as a team and how to resolve their differences. They run for office, develop programs and implement their policies, chair committees and learn what it’s like to be responsible to other people.
Members develop the personal and professional skills required to lead — skills like networking, fiscal responsibility, and time management. They benefit from these skills for the rest of their lives.
In addition, DTD currently offers chapter members the opportunity to participate in the following:
- The Bethany Leadership Academy in Bethany, West Virginia is the birthplace of Delta Tau Delta. It’s also the site of an annual leadership workshop, based on “The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People” by Dr. Stephen Covey.
- Camden, Maine is the site of DTD’s popular Sailing Academy, where an ocean schooner becomes the classroom for a weeklong workshop in leadership training.
- The Capital Leadership Academy in Washington, DC, offers Delt members the chance to discover that many of the principles and values of DTD are reflected in the foundation of our country.
Your path to becoming a lifelong leader starts here.
